Inspiring weight loss journey of Ketki Redkar

Weight loss and fitness stories always inspire. They are full of dedication and discipline and urge us to do the same. They also show us that if you set your mind on something, it is doable.
So here is the story of this young girl Ketki who transformed herself and HOW!! Kudos to her.
“I was very young without a care in the world. All that mattered was taste and not health. I used to eat a lot of junk food. I started gaining weight gradually. It started with 500 gms, which became 2kgs, then 5kgs. Eventually, I gained 13kgs. I went into depression for many days. I starved myself to death whenever people used to call me fat.
It is disturbing to not be able to fit into your favourite jeans.. week on week you wear the same one piece and try to fit into it somehow and comfort yourself.. you get tired of clicking pictures from that one particular angle that makes you look skinny.
I got sick of this. All of it. One fine day, I woke up and decided to change this.
I Joined a gym nearby and started following a healthy diet.
I lost those 13 kgs in 2 months.
Losing weight was secondary; I started feeling active again. My skin was glowing and I was full of energy. Following the proper healthy diet and exercising got me where I am today, confident and ecstatic.
I feel very good in my body today. I have realised the importance of eating right and exercising and I urge everyone to do the same. Because believe me, not feeling good about yourself is a very bad feeling……”
I am sure many of you got inspired today!

Can u tell us about vegetarian diet which I can go about to shed weight.. Help me out
Hi Archana, with vegetarian diet too you can lose weight easily. AVoid maida products and opt for whole grains. HAve good quality proteins like legumes, curd, paneer, pulses and nuts. Include protein in every meal. Avoid long gaps in meals and have small, frequent meals. Indulging in a physical activity helps a lot. Try and exercise/walk at least 4times a week. And drink enough water. All this should help. For anything else, do get in touch. Thanks 🙂
