Vitamin C shot-Recipe
Oranges are in season and they are everywhere. The lovely aroma makes them irresistible to one and all. Oranges are packed with vitamin C. They boost your immune system and improve your skin; they also aid with heart health, cholesterol levels and other issues. Oranges additionally help reduce the risk of respiratory diseases, certain cancers, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcers and kidney stones.
Nature is so considerate and everything is so beautifully planned. With the arrival of winter a host of respiratory infection begin to rise. Cough and cold become common. And at that time, nature gives us oranges in abundance so that the vitamin C keeps a check on our immunity. How beautiful!!
So today I am posting a refreshing recipe of orange and tomato juice. Tomatoes also have vitamin C and hence this recipe is a stiff shot of vitamin C. Enjoy!!!
Juice of 200 gm tomatoes
few mint leaves
2 gm roasted cumin powder
2 gm rock salt (adjust to taste)
5 gm ginger
1 red chilli
- Peel oranges and sqeeze.
- Add ginger, fresh red chilli and mint.
- Blend and strain.
- Add this to the tomato juice.
- Season with roasted cumin powder and rock salt.
- Serve chilled.
